Frequently Asked Questions
What does the filter consist of?
The filter uses a 3-stage filtration system which is composed of a pre-filter, an H13 HEPA filter, and a high-efficiency activated carbon filter.
How long does the filter last?
It is necessary to judge the life of the filter according to three factors air quality, the running time of the machine, and the level of the purification gear when it is running. Therefore, the life of the filter will be more accurate. When the filter needs to be replaced, the filter reset indicator on the machine will light up red. With 8 hours of daily use, it can last for 6-8 months. To maintain optimal performance, please replace the filter every 6-8 months. Keep away from water and humid areas Moisture will allow mold to grow.
How to use the air purifier to the best effect?
Keep the doors and windows closed when the air purifier is on. Do not block the air openings and keep away from curtains or walls. Maintain and replace the filters on a regular basis for maximum efficiency. If the indoor air quality is bad or you would like to speed up the purification process. It's recommended to turn on Turbo Mode first. then switch to Auto or other modes after the air quality improves.
What do the different colored lights represent?
Green means the air quality level is good.
Orange means the air quality level is moderate.
Red means the air quality level is poor.
Why is the sound noisy when the air purifier is working?
Please check if you have selected the turbo mode. Switch the air purifier to sleep mode or lower fan speeds to test again. If you can, please take a short video and send it to support@dreo.com as soon as possible.
Why is the sound unusual when the air purifier is working?
Make sure the air purifier is operating on a flat, stable surface. Check if the filter is placed properly or if the filter packaging has been removed. If the unusual noise still exists, there may be external objects blocking the air openings. Please take a short video and send it to support@dreo.com as soon as possible.
How to clean the inside & outside?
Unplug the air purifier before any cleaning and maintenance. Remove the filter and clean the inside with a dust vacuum. Wipe clean the housing with a dry, soft, non-abrasive cloth. Open the cover at the back and clean the AQ sensor with a dust vacuum.
Why the airflow from my air purifier is too weak?
Make sure that there is enough space around the air purifier.
Check if the filter packaging has been removed. Fan speed will be low when auto mode is switched on and air quality is good. Try to switch to higher speed or turbo mode. Replace the filter if the filter is clogged and overloaded. The pre-filter may be clogged with large particles. For example, hair or lint can block airflow. The pre-filter needs to be cleaned.
Why the air purifier doesn't improve the air quality?
Air purifiers can only purify dust above PM2.5 or odorous dust, and cannot remove odorous components of inorganic compounds (non-dust). Check if the filter packaging has been removed. Make sure that the area is smaller than 283ft²/28.3㎡ Make sure the windows are as close as polluted air may continue coming in from outside of the windows. The overloaded filter will make the fan work harder to pass the air through. Consider replacing the filter if it is clogged. Do not place in crowded areas and corners. Check if the air outlet and inlet are obstructed. The AQ sensor may be blocked by dirt such as hair and affect the accuracy. Need to open and check the back sensor, refer to the manual to clean the AQ sensor.
Why does my air purifier produce an unpleasant smell?
The smell can be reduced by exposing the filter to the sun
During the initial few days, new air purifiers produce a plastic smell which is normal and will dissipate eventually. Do not add essential oils or diffusers into the air purifier or use it in an excessively humid area. Humidity will cause mold to grow. If the filter has absorbed pollutants to its maximum capacity, then the smell may come from the dirty filter. Please replace the filter when necessary.
Why is the air quality sensor always blue in the case of automatic mode?
After the automatic mode is turned on, the air will be purified all the time, and the environment will be in an optimal state. If no fluctuation reaches the detection threshold, it will not change color. If you need to confirm whether the air quality sensor is working, you can confirm by lighting a cigarette near the AQ sensor on the back of the machine.
