Smart Humidifier HM524S 6L

Having owned a few Dreo products adding this humidifier to the app was a breeze. It is easy to set up and is effective in what it is supposed to do. Filling up the humidifier with water is easy and looking at the steps for care and maintenance is straightforward. I am curious about how long it will last, but a warranty extension is included, which is a plus!

I ordered this humidifier because of its large 6 liter capacity. However, it also exceeded my expectations in terms of automation. First off, this humidifier displays the room's humidity on its front and can be tuned very accurately. Your humidity will not jump more than 1-2 percent from the specified percentage you set before the machine automatically pumps humidity into the room.
If that wasn't enough, this humidifier even comes with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi, and has an app you can download on your phone! Upon downloading the app, I was able to connect the humidifier to the internet, gaining the ability to control it from anywhere in the world. The humidifier only supports 2.4GHz networks, but being able to control it from anywhere is huge, especially if you have pets and plan on going on vacation.
Within the app, you can also schedule the humidifier to turn on and off at certain times. You can even schedule it to enter sleep mode, emitting a different amount of humidity and turning off the front display so you can fall asleep. I also discovered that you can have the humidifier change colors based on the room's humidity. It can turn red (too dry), green (normal), and blue (too wet), based on a set of percentages you feed it through the app. Overall, this humidifier's customixability exceeded my expectations!
The humidifier even sends you an "out of water" notification when it runs out (after about 3 days of continuous running starring from 50~70% capacity). It also can tell you when it needs cleaning (about every 100 hours) These are great features and I'm glad my bedroom will never be dry again!

I am so pleased with this smart humidifier! Setup was quick and easy, and installing the app and connecting to my phone took less than 5 minutes. The water tank is large, and it's only halfway down after 20 hours of use.

Having the larger 6L capacity also means I can run it longer without refilling. Another nice feature is that this unit has easy access for cleaning compared to other humidifiers I've used. I also like having the adjustable nozzle so I can keep the unit close to the wall but angle the mist away from it.

Note that this smart version can use filters, but they are sold separately. However, if you use distilled water, which is really best, then you shouldn't need the filter.

The app was easy to install on my iPhone but be aware you will need to create an account to use it. I also had no issues connecting the unit to our wi-fi network.

I never saw the need for a smart humidifier, but now that I have one, I like all the extra features and convenience. The app is easy to set up. Its nice to see the exact humidity, and its convenient to control it from my phone and have timers, status, sleep mode, and reminders. The instructions reference a filter, but one is not included. So far, Im using it without the filter, which is sold separately. I run an air purifier near the Dreo. I only use filtered water in it, and I havent had any scaling, or white residue, yet. The unit is easy to fill and to clean and maintain. The design is nice and sleek. Im using it in my large living room. I do not use the included aroma tray. It has three cool, ultra fine, mist settings and runs quietly. I can barely hear it. The thing I love the most is that it only needs to be filled every three or four days. I can set it and forget it.
