Just set up and started using my new Dreo 515S Portable AC today. It was very easy to set up, is very quiet compared to my prior unit and did an excellent job keeping my temperature steady. I've found I don't need to set it as low to stay comfortable since it cools so quickly. I left my door open and it cooled all of the upstairs, which was an unexpected benefit. I also love the look of the unit - a bit like R2D2 on Star Wars!
This is my 2nd unit for my bedroom. I was so please with my 1st one in my living room, had to get another.

So far the experience has been wonderful. When I have to empty the pan and see how that will go I can say more. It is easy to install and navigate the unit. I love the WiFi connectivity. The unit cools I ordered cools reallly well but I should have gotten the next level up. Overall well pleased so far. Hopefully this carries me a long time through these brutal summers.
This thing looks and feels luxurious
I haven't had a chance to try out the air conditioner yet as the weather simply doesn't merit it right now. However, everything about the unit seems to be high quality. I like that they included a sealing adhesive for getting a tight seal in the window. I've read the instruction manual and noticed that when using the sleep function the AC will adjust every hour to compensate for a person's body heat. Basically means it will slowly rise in temperature a few degrees so you don't catch a cold in the middle of your sleep. This was a clever idea as I've actually woken up freezing a few times with my previous AC. I will adjust my review in the future if I find any reason to but for now I'm very happy with my purchase.
Very easy to set up, Quiet. Saved our day when painting today. Immediate cold air. Love all features. Love magnetic remote holder. This is my 5th Dreo product. All of them make like much easier.

I need a longer exhaust vent due to exhausting through a sliding glass door and they were able to take care of that that was super helpful thank you and the unit is pretty quiet really quiet but it's just a fan on low speed but you can hear the compressor kick on and off but again quiet All Things Considered
The unit itself works very well. It appears well built. It cools well at the lowest fan setting, and is surprisingly quiet except when the compressor kicks on, which is unavoidable… Everything was easy to set up and install. Good instructions. No issues…. We are cooling approximately 300 sq. Ft( master bedroom) so we turn the rest of the house to a higher temp at night in hopes of saving on the electric bill. The venting hose and accessories are ok. It strange that the company does not let customers know to insulate the vent pipe as it is very warm when it in use and all that heat is being released back into the area you are trying to cool. Dreo should provide vent pipe insulation covers. Check out Amazon for covers. The only other issue is the remote. It’s nice that it lights up in so you can see what things are set at, but if it’s dark you cannot tell what buttons are what on the remote. I mostly have to use the remote in the middle of the night so it would be nice if the buttons could be back lit. The app for your phone is great! Easy to use. I use the app instead of the remote. I did my homework on multiple units prior to purchase, and decided on Dreo. I have a few of their tower fans and they work great. So far, so good. I would recommend to family/friends.

Our bedroom is quite large and it works great to cool it down quickly. It is a little noisy when running, but you can ignore that as white noise and still sleep. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because it does shut off with sort of a loud noise and a small vibration which can wake you up if you’re a light sleeper. But this is our second try to find a portable AC for our bedroom and since we had a smaller DREO for our daughter‘s room, we thought we’d try the bigger one for ours and it works beautifully.
Love this 515S. It keeps our main living area comfortable even when its 98 degrees outside. We have casement windows and I cut a piece of 3/16" ply to fit where the screen sits and a 6" hole for the exhaust that I attached using the plastic plate meant for double hung windows. Worked like a charm and I really appreciated that the exhaust has a bird/varmint screen built into the end of the pipe. The remote works very easily and the app for the phone is great to be able to turn it off or on from our bed. This unit is far superior to the last one we had which was a hOmelab 12000 btu.

Lucky that the a/c unit works. UPS a terrible shipper, box was beat up only one strap retainer was on the unit , looks like they drag the unit all the way from California . With only one strap on box the unit was not secured properly and the styrofoam on the bottom was badly damaged so the unit was not secured in the styrofoam. The first unit I bought was shipped by Fed Ex it came in excellent condition the unit was secured in all the straps and styrofoam was in good condition.

This is my third Dreo product. I own a fan and a humidifier. Both are great. So far so good with the air conditioner.
Took a little longer than i hoped to arrive but it was worth the wait!! My 3D print lab has been reaching almost 90F and this AC brought it down to 75F in a few short hours. My prints have been saved. Its very heavy and its wheels are small. Would be nice if it came with a drip tray but we will see how it goes when i empty it soon enough.
I have a flat root 2 story home were the heat from the sun along with rising heat results in an extremely warm bedroom. Prior to purchase, I had read reviews, look at descriptions and watched YouTube videos. I was not familiar with the Dreo line of products. As a result, I didn't have real high expectations for the Smart Air Conditioner 516S. Installation was made very easy by the Dreo designers. The app is very user friendly. The Smart Air Conditioner 516S provides power enough to cool the bedroom & other parts of the upstairs. To date, this has been a superb purchase.

This AC was a NC summer life saver! I need it cool when I sleep, and working night shift means cooling the house more during the hottest parts of the day. I installed this in my bedroom and was able to turn up the HVAC and keep my room cool and was able to sleep great! Love that it works with alexa and the included remote is great, too. It has 3 speeds, occilates the air, and the display turns off so it doesn't put off light. Great buy!
