1. Place the appliance on a flat, level surface. 2. Be sure not to insert anything into the air inlet and outlet. 3. It is normal that the fan makes a little noise when manually adjusting the fan head.
My appliance is not misting.
1. Turn the mist level to a higher setting. 2. The base may have too much water. Empty the base and refill the water tank (not the base). 3. The air inlet may be blocked. 4. Make sure the mist nozzle is not blocked. 5. Make sure the appliance is placed on a flat surface. 6. Turn the mist level to the highest setting and let it run for a while, then adjust it to the desired setting. 7. If the water tank or base have been washed with detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining detergent. 8. The appliance will stop misting automatically in the event of low water. 9. In Auto Mode, the appliance will stop adding moisture when it reaches the room humidity target. 10. Make sure the water tank is installed properly.
There is white dust in the water tank.
You should descale the appliance regularly. Using purified or distilled water can help prevent the formation of scale.
The mist produces an unpleasant smell.
1. Use purified or distilled water only. It is not recommended to use tap water. 2. Change water regularly to avoid dirty water accumulation. 3. Clean the appliance and keep it dry for 12 hours with the water tank cap detached. 4. If the device will not be used for an extended period, empty all water from both the water tank and the base. Open the water tank cap and allow the tank to dry completely before storage.
Water leaks from my appliance.
1. Avoid running the appliance in a room with over 70% relative humidity. 2. Wipe any excess water. 3. Do not shake the appliance. 4. Make sure that the appliance is placed on a flat, level surface. 5. Check the water tank for leaks. If there are leaks, contact Customer Support (see page 22).

This fan is impressive! The turbo mode? Yeah… that’s not a gimmick. Turn it on and be prepared to be the coolest cat in town.
The whole fan feels well‑made, and the app control is a nice little bonus. Being able to tweak everything from my phone just makes life easier.
Overall, this fan showed up to beat the heat, and honestly, it’s winning.
This is my 3rd DREO fan and just like the others I love it!!
I don’t like running my air conditioner at night and living in California I needed something to help keep me cool. I set it up on the table next to my bed and the cool mist blowing on my face does the job.

An amazing fan that actually lowers the room temperature when you add water. It takes up very little space yet is powerful, ultra-modern, and works perfectly. I’m very happy with it and think I should buy another one. The price is low, but the quality is superb!

This is the quietest fan in the market. But the mist makes it feel like an AC. The is much more cooler with that mist on. And it will last at least 10 to 8 hours on a full water tank.
We’ve used this on our deck at the table at close range and it helped keep us cool. It’s a dry mist compared to larger misting units I’ve seen. You can hold your hand directly in front of the mist and feel the coolness. When you pull your hand away it isn’t wet at all. The biggest design flaw I ran into was filling the water reservoir and then moving it. I had water pouring out from the handle area onto my feet. I recommend bringing the water tank to the unit already placed where you intend to use it. Price seems a bit high for this product. Not sure if it would work as well in higher humidity levels. May work better inside and won’t leave water spots
Clear instructions everything works great. My room is always super hot in the summer and I have no A.C! The air is cold I also added ice to my water, the fan isn’t loud at all and it fits perfect on my desk. It rotators almost 360° and with the app you can customize so much! Great fan definitely worth the money

Amazon items have been a little disappointing as of late. This one right out of the box is great. I purchased it to use when I'm sitting on my patio. I know it's not made for outdoors, but J have no intentions of having it exposed to direct sun or leaving it outside when not in use.
This fan is super super quiet. The wide span oscillating option is amazing. The mist is ultra fine. It's lightweight, but not cheap feeling by any means. It's just a cool $sss fan. Oh did mention it comes with a remote. Bonus!
I tested it outside. It was 87 degrees, high uv and humidity. This fan blew very cool air in those conditions. I brought it inside and turned it all the way up. Let's just say I got chilly and bumped it down.
So far it's worth what I paid. I'll update later after more use if something changes.

I’ve been using the DREO TurboCool Misting Fan 516S for a bit now, and honestly it’s one of those gadgets that ends up being more useful than you expect. I originally picked it up for my desk, and it’s been perfect for keeping cool.
The airflow is surprisingly strong for its size — you can definitely feel it even a few feet away — and the oscillation covers a wide area, which helps a lot if you’re moving around at your desk. The misting feature is what really sets it apart though. On hotter days, that ultrafine mist makes a noticeable difference without making everything around you feel damp.
One thing I’d definitely recommend: use distilled or purified water. You can use tap water, but it’ll lead to mineral buildup, possible odors, and you’ll end up cleaning it more often. Since switching to distilled water, it’s been smooth sailing.
I also really like that you can use it without water at all. It works great as a regular tabletop fan, so you’re not locked into using the mist feature all the time. That flexibility is a big plus for me.
The app and remote are convenient (I mostly use the remote), and the fan is super quiet — I can run it while working or even sleeping without it being distracting. The RGB lighting is a nice touch too, not necessary, but it adds a cool vibe if you like that sort of thing.
Overall, it feels well-made, performs great, and is just really practical for everyday use. Definitely happy with picking this one up!
This fan may be small, but oh boy is it MIGHTY. I was excited to put this in my office as I work from home in an additional room that doesn't have the HVAC connected. As soon as I turned it on, this little thing blew me away. (No pun intended.) The amount of power that this fan has is amazing. I have it across the room from me and sometimes I have to turn it down or off because it's extremely powerful and I actually cooled off too much. I have only added water to it one time because it wasn't needed to keep me cool, but that feature is magnificent.
This nifty misting fan comes fully set up with a remote control, added bonus points for including the batteries for the remote. The oscillation is great; it gives a wide berth for as much as it turns and keeps the entire back room cool as a cucumber. I like the sleek look of the DREO fans, and this one is no exception. It just looks nice and the small LED light below the control panel is a nice touch. I also love that it is surprisingly quiet. I work on the phone so I can't have loud background noise, I can have this fan set to TURBO mode and it doesn't make a peep.
Now I know in the summer if I need to add cool water to it, I can but I highly doubt that I will need to. This is a FANtastic deal and I would recommend this to anyone looking for additional cooling for a large room. I promise this will do it.
Review of DREO TurboCool Misting Fan 516S, 150°+30° Omni-directional Oscillating Smart Desk Fan
I LOVE this fan/mister. It has way more bells and whistles than I need. I prefer simplicity, and this can be used easily for what I want without downloading the app. The most important features to me are: Is it quiet and can it really be used in the house without the mist getting things wet? I can emphatically answer "Yes" to both.
After filling the water reservoir (distilled water recommended) it was put on a shelf near the kitchen table where a few friends were gathering. It was already warm enough that I'd have turned on the air conditioner but just turned this on at the unit and let it oscillate blowing its extremely fine mist. The air was noticeably cooler and there was never any moisture gathered. Though it was right by where we were seated, it was so quiet there was absolutely no interference with conversation. It was on for about two hours and used a little less than half the water in the reservoir.
I live in an arid climate where swamp coolers are still used extensively rather than air conditioners, but my house only has AC. Even with solar panels the electric bills are higher than expected. This little fan/mister is just what I need to cut those bills. I'll use it in my bedroom and den, replacing noisy fans and giving better heat relief with the non-wet mist. It's so quiet and the mist so light it's appropriate for the bedside stand. I'm confident it will reduce the heat enough at night that I'll be able to sleep without lowering the thermostat on all except the two weeks or so that humidity rises each summer. In the summer daytime the thermostat is set at 80 degrees. Lowering that by 5 degrees in the room I’m in will make life much more comfortable.
This small, good-looking, unit can do much more than what I’ll use it for, such as controlling a room’s climate from afar with the app. I’m glad that the fan/mister works well with just the buttons that are on it but also has a remote control for convenience and to set a timer.
