Why is my air conditioner not working?
Make sure the unit is plugged firmly into the outlet. If the Plug Current Device has tripped, press the RESET button. If the room temperature is lower than the target temperature in Cool Mode, reset the temperature. If the unit shows a P1 Protection Code, the water collection tray is full. Turn off the air conditioner, drain the water, and restart the unit. If the unit shows E0, E1, or E2 error codes, contact customer service.
Why does the unit not cool well?
The air filter may be blocked with dust or animal hair. Turn off the unit and clean the filter according to the instructions. The exhaust hose may not be connected or may be blocked. Turn off the unit, disconnect the hose, check for blockage, and reconnect it. The windows and doors in the room may be open, so make sure they are all closed. The unit may also be low on refrigerant. Contact customer service to inspect the unit and top off refrigerant.
Why is ice forming on the cooling coil behind the air outlet?
The indoor temperature may be below 60°F (16°C). Change to Fan Only mode. The air filter may also be dirty. Clean the filter and then set the air conditioner to FAN only mode.
Why is the unit noisy and vibrating too much?
The air conditioner may not be placed on a level surface. Place the unit on a flat, level surface. The air filter may also be blocked with dust or animal hair. Turn off the unit and clean the filter according to the instructions.
Why does the unit make a gurgling sound?
This is normal. It is caused by the flow of refrigerants inside the unit.

The 740S was well packed and arrived in good condition. Installation was fairly simple, the only thing that gave me trouble was one the rectangular connector on one of the hoses that connects to the unit separated from the hose when I pulled on the hose to connect to the window panel. It took me quite a while to get that back on and I'm not sure it is on correctly. They provide plenty of insulation for the window, so that was good. Once it was installed, I fired up the Dreo application, which I already had on my phone as I have three other Dreo devices (2 fans, 1 humidifier) and it instantly found the new A/C without me having to do Add Device - nice! I installed this unit in my home office, which is 225 sqft (15x15) and it cools the room down nicely. The unit is a little louder than I would like, but that is probably just a problem for me in that I put it on ON my desk , 31" from me. I have an L shaped desk in the corner of my home office and I wanted to use the narrow window that faces sideways to the front of my house. Putting the A/C under my desk would not have allowed the air to go up. In any case, I'm happy with the unit and the cooling it provides. My office is in the far corner of my 3100 sgft single story home and it would get warmer that all other rooms in the house, so I am really enjoying the ability to cool my office to the temperature I want. BTW - I worried I might leave it running some night, so I created a schedule to turn it off at 10:00 PM each night, just in case. If I want it to run after that, I will simply turn it back on. I've been super happy with the Dreo devices, especially the convenience of using Alexa to turn them on/off, change settings (e.g. increase/decrease temp, turn on Eco, turn on/off).
This was so easy to set up by myself. Way easier than my previous portable stand up units from the past.
I am also amazed how much quieter it is to my previous units.

This is our second unit. It arrived in fully protected packaging.
It to longer to unpack it than installing it.
The entire process took about 30 minutes from unpacking to switching it on.
Both units run like a charm an cool the entire 1,400 sqft living space sufficiently, keeping the temperature at a comfortable 69 F

Easy to install and works amazing. Never using windows units again!!! Its sleek and not an eye sore. Dont bag it up and store it til next summer just clamp the hoses on the back turn it side ways. I live in Louisiana where it’s 100% humidity at least 100 days of the year. My HVAC couldn’t keep up. Within 45 minutes of plugging this bad boy in the temp of my home dropped 3 degrees. By the next day it was keeping my whole house at a comfortable temp, not just the large living room we placed it in. For reference my home is one story and 1300 sq ft. I came in from mowing the lawn and stood directly in front of it and had icicles forming on my eyebrows. Okay not seriously, but seriously it feels like frozen air. Just buy it…you’ll thank me later!

The DREO 740S is the best home cooling system I've ever had, delivering the best results. It is quiet and quickly reaches my preferred temperature. Controlling it via the phone app makes operating the system easy. I can’t determine the energy consumption just yet; I have to wait for the next billing cycle from my electricity provider.
DREO App with the portable ac is a game changer! Magnetic spot for the physical remote not to get lost, mind blown! Child lock, so not accidentally pressing buttons, Genius. Installing the hoses and window install was fairly easy with the install video DREO provided with the QR code. Needed to cut the panels provided with my own personal tool. My sleep improved so much with 65 degrees Fahrenheit cooling. My double coated dog feels better as well. Love not having to worry about drainage! The swinging vents are great going up and down cooling the room fast. The caster wheels are awesome for easy moving the portable ac. The built -in handles that look like it belongs to the ac portable unit, a chef’s kiss. Opening the box and getting out the unit was a breeze. Overall satisfied!

Re installation: When I pulled on one of the hoses to bend it so that it would fit the space, the hose detached from the part that fastenss to the unit. It was easy enough to reattache though. The unit is quiet and produces good cold air.
It was easy to install. I had to cut one of the supplied panels to size and it was very easy to cut with a hack saw. I like the cooling speed of this model since it comes with two vents. I am using it in the background and find the sound level low enough for me to sleep comfortably. The phone application is easy to use. I have had a Dreo circulator fan for about 2 years, so buying the AC from Dreo was an easy decision.
Air conditioner works great. The app has an issue. If I turn the air conditioner on using the app, then it ignores future scheduled changes. It should honor the schedule in the future even if I manually turn it on before the schedule runs.
The unit works wonderfully. I'm really happy with it. I use it on Eco Mode and it's more than sufficient.
Installation took effort though. Because of the odd size of my windows it was a bit of a challenge to install the window kit. With the help of a saw I was able to cut down the short extension panel for a nice tight fit. The window lock bracket is too short for my windows, so I did have to buy window locks to secure the window. Other than that I'm extremely happy with my Dreo A/C!
I've only had it for 7 days now, and it's the first "portable air conditioner" I've ever owned, so it's still quite early to form an opinion, but I like it a lot so far. I did a lot of research prior to buying, and came in thinking I was buying the best of the best here with the DREO 740S.
One thing that I'm still getting used to is predictably controlling it (seems like entering/exiting sleep mode doesn't do exactly what a user might assume). I basically want sleep mode for sleep, but don't need the noise suppression for the first 30-60 minutes, so still getting a feel for how I want to control it.
So far so good. Came promptly and very well packed. Fairly heavy but manageable for two seniors to lift it upstairs - which we did before unpacking and the strapping tape made it easier to hold on to than the built-in handles. Setup went fine and it seems to cool well - but it hasn't been hot enough yet for a real test
